Decathlon Returns Policy

Decathlon offers one of the most comprehensive returns policies in the UK. You have 30 days for returning your goods, if you are a guest user. But if you are a Decathlon member then you can return your order within 365 days of the purchase! You can return an online order to both the Decathlon stores and to their warehouse by post. On the other hand, in-store purchases can be returned in the Decathlon stores only. Thus Decathlon returns policy differs for online order and in-store purchases.

You can return your goods in two cases i.e. if the goods are unwanted or they are not satisfactory for their intended purpose. Almost all of the Decathlon products are eligible for return but however, the following goods are an exception to this rule.

  • Customized Products
  • Perishable Goods like Foods & Drinks
  • Personal Safety Equipments
  • Face Masks
  • Gas Canisters
  • Products that are purposefully damaged or improperly maintained

In addition to these products, you also can’t return marketplace items to Decathlon directly. Marketplace items are the products that are supplied by Decathlon partners and are sold on the Decathlon website. For returning marketplace items, you must contact the Decathlon customer service team and they will advise about how to return those items.

You can return your online Decathlon order either in any of the Decathlon stores or can send them directly to the sports retailer. For returning your online order in the store, repack your goods in original packaging and then take them to any of the Decathlon stores along with your email address and order number. The store staff will check your order and will process your refund according to your original payment method.

If you want to return your online order via post then you need to sign in to your Decathlon account and then make a return request. After completing your online return process, repack your goods and place a handwritten note containing your order number or shipping group number (this is mandatory – without this, your return will not be processed). Now choose your delivery method. Decathlon offers varied delivery methods for returns.

You can send your return parcel via Decathlon Click & Collect, Panther, DPD, Collect at ASDA, and Royal Mail. Fortunately, sending your parcel via Collect at ASDA and Royal Mail is free of cost while you have to pay for return shipping charges if you send your parcel via other delivery methods.

For returning in-store purchases, take your goods to any of the Decathlon stores along with your order receipt or loyalty card. Unlike online orders, in-store purchases can only be returned in stores. And the refund will be made on the same card which was used during the purchase.

You will get an instant refund in the store while the refund of the online order can take up to 12 business days after the arrival of your parcel at the warehouse. When they receive your parcel, they will notify you via email and your refund will be processed as per your original payment method.

How to return something to Decathlon

You can return your in-store purchases in any of the Decathlon stores. Just take your goods to your nearest Decathlon store along with the order receipt or loyalty card and they will process your refund instantly.

On the other hand, you can either return your online order in any of the stores or can send them via post. Sending your goods via post is simple. Repack your goods and place a handwritten note containing your order number and send them via your chosen delivery method. And you will get a full refund within 12 working days.
